The Union County Sheriff's Office Civil and Warrants section is responsible
for all court processes for service in Union County. This section maintains
court documents related to individuals that have a pending civil or criminal
action before the 8th judicial circuit in matters where the civil action or
criminal action occurs inside Union County. This section also maintains all
hard copy records of law enforcement report case files once they are closed.
The Sheriff's civil/warrants section prepares all lawful court service
actions that require a bonded deputy sheriff to serve upon individuals,
signifying their "legal service" requirements for county and circuit court.
Legal actions ranging from civil suits, writs to obtain property, judgements
issued by the courts or other lawful actions brought forth by corporations
or individuals that have been duly filed with the clerk of court all arrive
for service by the Sheriff. Additionally, this section works with all
Florida counties, many other states as well as federal agencies as the
sheriff's representative for the lawful receipt of in-county, out-of-county
and out-of state criminal warrants.
