Honoring Memorial DayToday we take a moment to remember and honor the ultimate sacrifice of those that proudly served in our United States Armed Forces. We join with many members in our agency that have proudly defended our homeland both here and overseas. We remember and honor the memory of those that paid the ultimate sacrifice for those freedoms that we all so richly cherish. We celebrate the extraordinary service, commitment and courage to those that have served and continue to serve to protect our great country.

May God continue to bless Union County and the United States of America!

Join in the ceremony held at the Veteran's Monument, located at 325 West Main Street in Lake Butler at 8:15am, today, May 28th. The event is coordinated by the American Legion Post 153. The guest speaker will be Major Mitchell Bishop. The national anthem will be sung by Sondra Hunt, with the UCHS Band playing "Taps."

During this time parts of SR100/West Main Street in front of TD Bank will be temporary closed and detours for traffic will occur. Please detour around this area during the Memorial Day ceremony. Law Enforcement Deputies will be there assisting with the detour of traffic.
