Civil/Warrants

The Union County Sheriff's Office civil division carries out the statutory responsibility of serving and returning judicial process and enforcing judgments and orders that originate from the courts, governmental agencies and private attorneys.

The civil section also enforces levies and conducts sheriff's sales to aid in the collection of money judgments. Annually, Union County's civil unit processes and serves more than 1,500 warrants, writs, summons, injunctions and court orders.

Please note that the civil division does not provide legal advice or assist in the preparation of documents.

For process of service, at a minimum, you must provide the original process or certified copy along with a copy for service for each individual, the best address available where document is to be served the applicable fee and a self-addressed stamped envelope so that we may send back your original and return of service.

Fees for service of process are fixed by Florida Statute 30.231 and are non-refundable. We accept cash, checks and money orders.

LISA B. PARRISH
Lisa B. Parrish has 10 years of experience in Civil Process and Warrants Division with our office. Lisa is also responsible as the agency liaison for criminal filings of warrants and other offenses with the Union County Clerk of the Courts – Eighth Circuit and the Eighth Circuit State Attorney's Office. She has received extensive training throughout the State of Florida on the following specialties:

  • Baker Act and Marchman / Ex Parte Order - Meridian Behavioral Healthcare

CAPTAIN H.M. TOMLINSON (retired)
Captain Tomlinson is a 28+ year veteran of the Union County Sheriff’s Office.  Captain Tomlinson has 33+ years of Correctional expertise and experience with all aspects of correctional management and its daily operations.  Captain Tomlinson retired from the Union County Sheriff’s Office in 2013 where is served as Jail Director for the Union County Jail and Supervisor over our Civil Division.  Specialized training includes: Active Shooter, Florida Sheriff’s Association - Basic and Advanced Enforceable, as well as Non-Enforceable Civil Process.

In 2014, Captain Tomlinson rejoined our agency in our very active Bailiff Division, working with Circuit and County Court Judges, Hearing Officers and numerous mediations within our Union County Court System.
